Police are at present in search for a 24-year-old American man who allegedly damaged a hotel room about two weeks ago. Though officials have not identified the man, many reports claim it was Chet Haze, Tom Hanks’ son.
According to E! Online, police confirmed that they received a call from a staff at the Arora International Hotel in Crawley, England at 3:15 p.m on Friday, May 29 reporting that a guest had caused damage to one of their hotel room. It is also reported that the guest has caused an estimated £1,200 worth of damage to the room.
“We have been given the name of a suspect – a 24-year-old man from the USA – and we are currently working with other agencies to try to trace him so he can be interviewed,” police told the source.
Many reports claim that the person suspected to have caused the damage was Chet Haze, the 24- year-old son of Tom Hanks, American actor and filmmaker. Officers were working with foreign police forces to trace Haze.
According to the U.K.’s Mirror, the hotel staff called the authorities about the incident. It was after “noticing shattered glass and a TV set ripped off the wall in the four-star luxury hotel room near Gatwick.”
British detectives are searching for Hanks’ son “after he allegedly smashed up a hotel room in a sex and drugs row,” said the source.
The outlet also reported that Haze is said to have gone crazy and out of control. He caused “around £1,200 worth of damage to the luxury room of the hotel when he took three girls back after a late night party.”
The budding rapper has yet to respond directly to the claims against him. However, Haze’s Instagram picture posted on Monday seems to have been put in response to the various reports.
“Never be afraid to say f–k you,” he shared, with a picture having the caption, “From the offices of my lawyer… Words to live by.”
It must be noted that Haze has battled drug addiction for many years.
“I’ve been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16 years old. Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help,” Haze wrote on Instagram in November 2014.
Let us see what Chet Haze will say when the police trace him.
