Asia has the world’s best, as well as worst, airports. Travelling, especially on leisure purposes, should be stress- and hassle-free. A happy vacation, whether it be domestic or international, starts in the airport. But what if an airport’s services fail to keep passengers the comfort it promises? We summed up the 10 worst airports in Asia below. Read on.

10. Ngurah Rai (Bali, Indonesia)

The airport is located near Gusti Ngurah Rai St. in Denpasar in Bali. It is considered as one of the worst airports in Asia due to its awful maintenance — improper maintenance of the toilets, cramped waiting rooms, small parking space, claptrap immigration service and luggage in waiting for an hour or so.

9. Queen Alia (Amman, Jordan)

The visa and immigration staff are downright miserable and rude. Baggage retrieval is stressful. The toilets are filthy. In short, the terminal is old and dirty.

8. Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Generally, only two out of six VOA counters remain open. Disastrous Terminal 2 with poor air-conditioning, signage and hygiene.

7. Chennai International (Chennai, India)

Chennai Airport bugs people with its griminess, long queues and its hopeless seating. Incidents of ceiling collapses have transpired too.

6. Islamabad International (Islamabad, Pakistan)

Islamabad International is one of the worst Asian airports, lacking proper cleanliness, comfort, facilities and customer service.

5. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Kolkata, India)

The fifth busiest airport in Asia and the worst too, with ratings from 1 to 3 stars in the maximum.

4. Kabul International (Kabul, Afghanistan)

The check-in space in the airport is overcrowded. The immigration system is incomprehensible, and the single departure lounge is quite smelly.

3. Chhatrapati Shivaji (Mumbai, India)

The airport’s cramped baggage collection area and a cafeteria small enough for an international airport ruled it as one of the worst Asian airports.

2. Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila, Philippines)

Terminal 1 is referred to as a “zoo” by a traveler. Improper management, seating lounge is really small, long queue, ongoing construction work from several months that makes it look more troublesome. In short, disorganized and understaffed.

1. Indira Gandhi (New Delhi, India)

The vending machines in the airport only accept Indian Rupees. Then, there’s free Wi-Fi which does not work. Moreover, cockroaches in the restaurants makes this airport the worst.
