They kissed, cuddled, laughed, and cried together while romancing on-screen but reality is much different than we expect. According to sources, they hated each other off-screen! Here’s a list of seven on-screen couple who actually hated each other in real life:

Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams – The Notebook (2004)

Shocking isn’t it? The actors who are known to play the roles in the best romantic stories ever, actually cannot stand each other in real life. As per reports of VH1, the director of “The Notebook” once confirmed the news that the two actors are not getting along very well on set. The fight was so serious that once, Ryan went up to the director and said, “Nick come here.” while he was doing a scene with Rachel and he says, “Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?” Many a times, the two stars were seen screaming and shouting at each other. Although, after the film was finished, Gosling and McAdams ended up dating for three years.

Pierce Brosnan & Teri Hatcher – Tomorrow Never Dies (1998)

The same goes with theses actors, where Pierce Brosnan had complained that the actress Teri Hatcher made him wait for hours on set. In one of the interviews, Brosnan said, “She was always keeping me waiting for hours. I must admit I let slip a few words which weren’t very nice.”

Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes – Romeo + Juliet (1996)

The actors playing the characters of  Romeo and Juliet disliked each other on set, while the film was shot. Leonardo DiCaprio was 22 years old, while Claire Danes was just 16 when they were casted in Romeo + Juliet. The actress got fed up with Leonardo’s habit of playing pranks on the crew and cast members. In return, this behaviour of Claire was very harsh and annoying for DiCaprio. According to moviemaking rumours, the pair avoided speaking when the cameras weren’t rolling less “star-crossed lovers”, more just quite cross stars.

Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts – I Love Trouble (1994)

The stars of “I love trouble” hated each other so much, that they kept the war on even after the film was done. Reports say that two hated each other so much that they started shooting some of their scenes separately.

Shannen Doherty and Jason Lee – Mallrats (1995)

Jason Lee found his co-star  Shannen Doherty unpleasant. Although, Jason cannot be blamed for it, somewhat the same statements were given by Jason Priestley and Alyssa Milano, who described the actress as “difficult”.

William Baldwin and Sharon Stone – Sliver (1993)

According to news, Sharon Stone liked to torture his co-star and once, while playing a kissing scene she bit his tongue so hard that William Baldwin wasn’t able to talk for a week afterwards.

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey – Dirty Dancing (1987)

In his memoir Patrick Swayze wrote that he was fed up with the silly mood changes of the actress, who eventually was irritating to work with. The two fighters ended up becoming friends.
