“Transformers 5” might become the first of the series to avoid the human race entirely in the film. Taken from the animated series, Transformers became a huge hit with the help of unmatchable animation and impressive graphics. The story was centered on Shia Labeouf (Sam Witwicky) and his forefathers, which was not the case in the animated series.
The animated series concentrated totally over the Autobots and Decepticons, with Optimus Prime as their focal point. However, much to the disappointment of hardcore fans, Paramount failed to keep it according to the animated series and came up with Earth as a battlefield for the machines in the film.
With change on the agenda, Paramount has hired a team of established writers to work under Akiva Goldsman. According to Dayherald, the producers want to create something similar to the animated series by concentrating more on the machines rather than humans.
Mark Wahlberg was the primary source who initiated the speculation regarding “Transformers 5” and confirmed his allegiance to the series. However, with humans to remain absent in the next venture, Wahlberg’s statement has started to become a myth. This has also prompted as to why the production houses are silent in their actors hiring process.
Meanwhile, according to Deadline, Goldsman is pretty ecstatic to sit in the rooms of paramount where the likes of Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and many more share their knowledge. Goldsman stated that the importance to gaze into merchandise, TV shows and toys created by Hasbro which will eventually help out the writers in generating many more scripts. Goldsman further acknowledged the ground work which has been laid and the environment.
According to Akiva Goldsman, the writers will enjoy themselves and do what they did in their childhood. With casting yet to decided, it is about time to decide what the storyline will be based on? Human or Autobots? Making the script entirely based on machines would definitely attract the hardcore fans but it will also result in an animation film as no human content will be there.
