The people over at Entertainment Tonight were given access to the set of Transformers: Age of Extinction in “Hong Kong” where the filmed some segments during the production of the film. Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz were also present on set. Of course all those huge fighting machines, the Decepticons and the Autobots will be added to the film later on, so there wasn’t much to understand about the shoot other than explosions and things just blowing up.
Michael Bay is shooting this film as his last in the blockbuster series before he hands it over to another director. Further details on the plot of the film are still a bit shady at the time but, Bay has stated that, “We start four years late and there’s a reason why we’re meeting a new cast”. Bay also continued on to say that he’s trying to broaden the franchise and make it have places to go but the transformers will be kept the same except for the fact of the new cast of which Michael Bay has a reason for.
The new cast includes Mark Wahlberg, T.J. Miller, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Li Bingbing, and the film will reach theatrers on June 27, 2014.
