With what had happened in the previous episode of “True Blood” (“Fire in the Hole“), we can finally breathe a sigh of relief as there were no major cast deaths! Season 7 Episode 4 “Death Is Not the End” aired on Sunday, July 13, 2014 on HBO. Read on for the full recap of this episode.

Previously on “True Blood” (“Death Is Not the End”), Sookie and Jason were left to deliver the sad news of the deaths of Alcide and Hoyt’s mother. it was so hard for the both siblings to deliver such sad news. Jason got emotional when he delivered the news to Hoyt, but Hoyt didn’t remember any of this because he’d been glamoured.  Sookie called Alcide’s dad and other family members to let them know about the sad news of Alcide’s passing.

On the way back to Louisiana with Pam, Eric changed the plan and even begged for it because he wanted to land in Shreveport. He wanted to take responsibility for Willa before he died. Then we saw a flashback of Eric and Pam checking out an adult video store that became Fangtasia, and we also found out that Eric was asked to be the sheriff back then.

Sookie was on a mission to bring back Arlene and went over to Arlene’s place to tell her kids and promise them that she’s going to bring their mother back. Her first step was to talk to Holly and let her retrieve memories, which were mostly painful, just to find Arlene. Fortunately, Sookie found out where Arlene was. Once she got Arlene’s location, she went to Bill to make a plan.

Jessica was still recovering from her bullet wound that she got last week, and she refused to eat. This worried James, so he went to Bill to tell him about the situation. Sookie offered herself, but Jessica didn’t want to feed on innocent people. They called up Lafayette, and when he got there, Jessica wasn’t still fully convinced to feed until Lafayette told her that he’s not innocent.

We saw Eric and Pam in another flashback, running the adult video store. After 10 years, it was still a video store, but a girl named Ginger suggested to turn it into a nightclub because “sex sells.” Pam got sold on that idea but glamoured Ginger to think that it was her idea all along.

Most of the show’s characters teamed up to save Arlene, and then Pam and Eric showed up. Sookie ran to Eric’s arms right away, but Pam still hates her. They talked about what they missed on each other’s lives, and Eric offered to help Sookie on her mission to save Arlene.

To start their plan, Sam turned himself into a rat and found Arlene. Pam did not allow Eric to go on the mission because he’s too weak. However, by the time that they got to Arlene, she was already taken by the Hep-V vamps. Good thing, Sookie was there, and the vamps went crazy over her smell. The plan was this close to success until unexpected visitors started shooting up Fangtasia.

Arlene almost died, but luckily, she was able to feed on a clean vamp. Thanks to James’ band mate! Sookie and company were able to kill all the Hep-V vamps as well as the unexpected human visitors.
