True Blood” Season 7, Episode 5 “Lost Cause” aired on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on HBO. The drama was palpable, which was to be expected with vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters and a fairy. We saw some relationships rekindled, and we finally saw Eric Northman reunite with Sarah Newlin, while Bill unraveled something that devastated him. Read on for the full recap of this episode.

In the “Lost Cause,” Willa was throwing a fit to Pam regarding his maker’s treatment of her who just left her all alone when she needed her. Eric, being Willa’s maker, apologized and told her that they were going to kill Sarah Newlin before she meets her true death as long as Willa divulged everything that she knows about Sarah. After that, she would be free. Willa agreed and told them everything that they needed to know, revealing that Sarah has a sister named Amber Mills, a vampire who lives in Dallas. Once Eric got hold of the information that he needed, he went through with his promise and released Willa.

Pam and Eric were on a mission to get to the Lonestar State, but Ginger wasn’t so happy that Eric was leaving her after being his sex slave for 10 years but had never been sexually satisfied.

After Alcide’s death, Sookie finally came home to her house and found Lafayette and Jerry there. She got so emotional, and Lafayette was there to comfort her. She awoke with Alcide’s dad in the house. Apparently, Lafayette threw a party at her house while she was sleeping. Sookie wasn’t so happy with the idea, and then Bill came up to her house with flowers.

Eric and Pam went to Dallas and met Amber, who has the Hep-V virus as well. It turned out that she wasn’t in good terms with her sister who lied about everything and was on her way to to the Ted Cruz gala to spill the beans to their parents. She even asked them if they are going to kill Sarah, and Eric said yes. They were surprised to find out that Amber was willing to help them.

Meanwhile, we saw Bill having flashbacks to his time before he was a vampire.

During the party, everyone was there: Jason, Violet, Arlene, Jessica, etc. Alcide’s father even made a speech about his son and his love for Sookie. Lettie Mae also made a toast for Tara. Jessica was still feeling sad, and Andy told her to stop feeling that way because he also feels sad. He didn’t need that anymore because he wanted to propose to Holly already. However, he didn’t have a ring yet. Luckily, Sookie had a ring. She gave it to Andy, and Andy proposed to Holly. Holly said yes. Love was definitely in the air that night, with James and Lafayette hooking up. As for Sookie, she was still feeling sad about Alcide’s death that she had to let it out.  The best person to talk to about this was Arlene, who did not disappoint as she had given her good advice and had comforted Sookie.

Jessica caught James and Lafayette doing it, and this made her even sadder. Jason was to the rescue to cheer her up, and he wanted to help her accept the fact that James was gay. Lafayette tried to say sorry, but Jessica wasn’t really in the mood to accept his apology. Sookie, on the other hand, was listening to everyone’s thoughts while Bill had another flashback and only came back to the present moment when he saw Sookie. He went to Sookie, and they talked. The two almost kisse, but of course, it did not happen.

Lettie Mae went out for Willa’s blood and stabbed her. She claimed that she had been in contact with Tara and that was the only way to communicate with her again. They Nicole freaked about all the crazies in town. Jessica and Jason were having some heart-to-heart talk, and things got pretty hot between them.

Eric and Pam showed up to the southern gala, looking so adorably fine. And just like what Amber told them, Sarah was there and went right for her mommy. Sarah told her that the Yakuza was after her while Eric glamoured Sarah’s father. However, his plan was cut short when the Yakuza showed up and killed Sarah’s father and her mom. Eric got to Sarah. Just as he was about to kill her, he saw the Yakuza, and Eric took care of them.
