While Charlie Sheen may have left the hit show “Two and a Half Men” for greener pastures, it appears his character is not going to be so lucky.
According to new reports, Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, on the CBS sitcom will be killed off in the upcoming season premiere. This means the season will start with a funeral, with Harper’s family and former girlfriends coming to pay their respects to the deceased. This news is a stark departure from earlier speculation, which suggested that Sheen’s absence would be explained by his character’s move to Paris, presumably to live happily ever after with his most current fling.
The funeral is not the only change expected on the upcoming season of “Two and a Half Men.” Ashton Kutcher has joined the cast, presumably as a mysterious billionaire. Reports now suggest that Kutcher’s role will be explained as the new owner of Charlie Harper’s beach side condo. Kutcher will star alongside Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
Sheen left the show after a public display of vitriol aimed at the show’s creative boss, Chuck Lorre. In the months since his departure, Sheen has made headlines for his controversial rants and questionable career moves.
