It’s “Tyrant” Tuesday again, and the recent episode, “Gaslight” aired on Aug. 19, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. on FX. Just when Bassam thought that his plans were falling into place, he stumbled a few roadblocks along the way that would have him make adjustments just to get back on the ball again. Read on for the full recap of this episode.

Bassam was on his mission to stop Jamal from running as president, and he had already made a few adjustments to get things moving. However, he must get rid of Tariq. To do this, they convinced Jamal that Tariq was talking behind his back regarding his ability to lead Abuddin. They made up stories and told Jamal that Tariq was spreading rumors that he wants to run away with a hooker.

Jamal then told Bassam that he thinks that Tariq is planning to overthrow him, and now he’s resolved on arresting Tariq for treason.

Bassam took Emma and Sammy to the Bedouin village to let them know about where they came from. When he got home, he found out that the military leaders got blown up in an airplane accident, but Tariq was left out and was locked up in a dungeon.

With everything that’s happening, Jamal asked Molly to remain calm and try to act as if there’s nothing wrong. Of course, Molly failed. Tucker told Molly that when they return to the U.S., they need to live in a safe house, and it’s going to be so difficult for them to sleep at night without getting paranoid. This made her change her mind and went to Bassam and told her that she could not do it, but Bassam refused, and Molly told him that they are not going back to Abbuding when he becomes president.
