Undateable” Season 2 Episode 1 “A Japanese Businessman Walks Into a Bar” aired on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on NBC. Justin (Brent Morin) doesn’t seem to get the idea behind one-night stands. Leslie (Bianca Kajlich) believes her gym used her butt’s photo for their ads. The show also introduces new character Candace (Bridgit Mendler). Read on for the recap.

Justin tries to flirt with Erica, a customer at his bar and it’s not going well. He gets encouragement from Danny (Chris D’Elia) who convinces him to ask the girl out on a date. But Justin makes an excuse. It’s obvious he’s still hung-up on Nicki (Briga Heelan), the ex-girlfriend he’s still Facetiming every night.

Shelly (Ron Funches) helps him compose a text for Erica. On the other hand, the rest of the gang advises Justin he could just have a one night stand. Nicki is seeing other people anyway, so what’s the harm in that? Later, Justin freaks out that Erica texted back. The date is on. Does he get a haircut? Her father’s permission? He hasn’t done one-night stands before, apparently.

The next morning, Justin walks out of his bedroom looking pretty proud of himself. Yep, Danny heard them. The walls to their apartment is thin. He advises his friend not to lead Erica on and just let her walk out of the house. Erica comes back because she forgot her keys. Justin couldn’t help but engage her in a conversation and unintentionally, he asks her out again. When Erica leaves, Danny slaps some sense into him. Literally.

So, now…Justin is dating a girl he doesn’t really like to get serious with. according to Brett (David Flynn) it’s like Amanda from college all over again. He couldn’t break up with her and this went on for years. Amanda died working with baboons in the jungle, but Justin still couldn’t break up with the girl!

Justin defends, he’s not a heartless guy like Danny and Danny took offense. He challenges him to a fake trial, after breaking up with Erica for him.

The fake trial had Leslie as witness for Justin, who confirmed that her brother has really broken a lot of women’s heart. He dumps them just like that. Meanwhile, Danny had new girl Candace as his witness. She’s not even dating Justin, as he’s her boss, but does she realize she’s a bad waitress and Justin is just slowly cutting down her hours so she’d leave on her own? Danny’s point is that Justin strings women along and that’s even worse than telling them off, right? Realizing his mistake, Justin apologizes to Erica.

Meanwhile, Leslie thinks that her gym has used a photo of her butt for their marketing posters. But the manager denies this and disses her, too. She gets help from the boys to “bring her butt back” and together, they plan Operation Booty Recall, a heist just like Ocean’s 11, but without George Clooney or Brad Pitt.

Anyhow, they managed to pull it off and replaced the poster with Brett’s butt photos. He’s thinking he could get lots of dates from the gay guys this way. Good idea, Brett! Sometime later, Leslie’s booty poster went missing, and guess where they found it? At Burski’s (Rick Glassman) house and he’s made copies of it, too!

Back to Justin, Danny has a heart to heart talk with his best friend. He tells him that as much as he likes to string women along, Nicki is doing the same to him. Their relationship is going nowhere and everyone can see this but Justin. That night, he sums up the courage to ask her about their real score and not only did she string him along, she daggered him, too. Justin sulks in his apartment, but Danny tells him he’s going to find someone better soon.

That’s what happened in the season premiere of “Undateable” Season 2 Episode 1 “A Japanese Businessman Walks Into a Bar” which aired on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on NBC.
