Previously on Episode 4 “Revelation” (air date: July 21, 2014), Big Jim (Dean Norris) and Rebecca (Karla Crome) didn’t continue with their plan on poisoning their food supply in Chester’s Mill. On the other hand, Melanie (Grace Victoria Cox) found out that she was friends with Lyle (Dwight Yoakam), Sam and Pauline (Sherry Stringfield). She also got her memory back before she was mysteriously killed near the dome’s location.
In “Reconciliation,” Joe (Colin Ford) and Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz) accompanied Melanie to learn more about her true identity and connection with the dome. They went to the dome’s wall and let her touch it. Unfortunately, their attempt was unfruitful, so they draw some of Melanie’s blood for examination.
Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) replaced Big Jim as the leader of the survivors of the traumatic ordeal. It was after the authorities arrested both Big Jim and Rebecca. Julia ordered that everyone should share all resources until they solve the problem. Later, an explosive bombed the dwindling food supply. Her leadership succumbed after Officer Phil blamed her about it.
Little did they know, Phil got a whole supply of food that he had been hoarding secretly. Carolyn (Aisha Hinds), Norrie’s mom, caught him, but the guy wanted none of it. He tried to kill her when Barbie (Mike Vogel) arrived to save the day. Barbie gunned down the perpetrator. The problem was solved by Andrea (Dale Raoul), a widow of a survivalist expert. She was willing to share her food supply, which may last for months.
On the other hand, Junior (Alexander Koch) confronted Sam (Eddie Cahill), his uncle and former boyfriend of Melanie. He told her about Pauline’s prophetic drawings. He also said that his mother might still be alive. Later, they used the drawings at the school where Angie (Britt Robertson) died. Inside Melanie’s locker, they found out a secret tunnel that Lyle used before.
