Ariana Grande is lending her voice to a movie! The animation movie, entitled “Underdogs,” has just released its first official trailer.
“Underdogs” will be the 21-year-old singer’s big screen debut. Grande will be lending her voice to Laura, a free-spirited person who happens to be Jake’s (voiced by Matthew Morrison) love interest.
According to the synopsis of the movie, Jake is a shy but a very talented foosball player. With the encouragement of Laura, he is able to beat Ace (voiced by Nicholas Hoult), the town’s bully. And as Ace turns into the best soccer player in the world, he decides to return to their village and convert it into a sports stadium. Being the bully that he is, Ace destroys everything in his way and even manages to kidnap Laura. Just as everyone thinks all hope is gone, the toy figures on Jake’s foosball table are brought to life. With the help of his new friends, it is up to Jake to save his love and reclaim their village.
Apart from Grande, Morrison and Hoult, Bella Thorne joins the cast of “Underdogs” and lends her voice to the film as well.
