The snow queen just won’t “Let It Go” in the latest episode of ”Once Upon a Time” Season 4 Episode 3 “White Out.” Unfortunately, the episode also introduced another person who has the power to freeze things over, yet we are unsure whether she’s a villain or if she has any relation with Elsa. If you missed this episode, then you are in for a full recap.
The episode kicked off with Elsa leaving Mr.Gold’s shop, still determined to find her sister. She froze the town over and created an icy gate to make sure that no one gets to leave town until she finds Anna. With this, the whole of Storybrooke ran with no electricity.
Emma was ready to save the day with the help of her father, David. Then suddenly, there was Hook who wanted to help them, but it seemed that David wasn’t thrilled with his presence. Hook tried to sweet talk Emma, but it did not work. She was actually busy trying to find Elsa before all of them freeze to death. David made things awkward by talking to Hook about his daughter, and Elsa was around during the whole confrontation. This set her off, trapping Emma in an ice cave.
Emma was freezing to death already, but she was able to carry a conversation with Elsa. Elsa told her everything that she needs to know and her purpose in Storybrooke.
In this episode, we learned that there was a connection between David and Anna, when Anna came across David, asking for help. However, it was Anna who helped David from Little Bo Beep. In “Once Upon a Time,” Little Bo Beep is now your sweet fairy tale character, but a villain here who collects money and create slaves. If one tries to run away, she’ll turn you into a sheep with her herding stick. Anna taught David how to fight, and he was able to conquer Little Bo Beep and even got his herding stick.
Anna went to David’s mother to ask who can help her, and she was let to Rumplestiltskin. With the use of the herding stick, David rescued Emma and Elsa. As for Mary Margaret, people are coming up to her door to bring back the electricity, which she didn’t handle very well, but she was able to put the electricity back on.
David and Elsa used the herding stick to find Anna, but they couldn’t find her. However, they heard a heartbeat, which means that Anna is alive. So the two are on a journey to find her, and Elsa broke down her ice wall, but failed. Then we saw Elizabeth Mitchell who owns the local ice cream shop in Storybooke who has the power to make ice cream and can also freeze things over.
