LA Police Re-Open Death Inquiry of Actress Natalie Wood
Actress Natalie Wood died at sea in 1981 during a boating excursion on November 29, 1981 under what were deemed suspicious circumstances. The L.A. County Sheriff has re-opened the inquiry into the star’s death after recent comments made by the ship’s captain.
Wood was on the trip with her husband, actor Robert Wagner, along with fellow actor Christopher Walken when she reported stumbled over the side of the boat. It was originally reported that the actress had been “in a nightgown” and “full of wine” at the time of her death, which was said to have occurred during the middle of the night.
Wood’s body was later recovered and it was discovered that she was wearing a parka at the time she fell overboard. The parka was originally believed to have filled with water, causing her to drown.
It is believed that comments made by the ships captain during a recent interview prompted investigators to re-examine the case.
