Dig,” the event series about a murder mystery set in the Middle East, has finally released teasers that provide more details about the show. The upcoming drama from USA Network is scheduled to air on Thursday, Mar. 5, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. Read on for more about this update.

Giving a glimpse of what viewers can expect from the limited series, the new promos for "Dig" features Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs). He discovers what he says is a conspiracy rooted from two thousand years ago that could change the world as we know it. The teasers also feature Anne Heche as Lynn Monahan, who is Peter’s superior at the FBI. Singer and songwriter Alison Sudol as Emma Wilson, the intern working on a site in Jerusalem. She will eventually help Peter in solving the most elaborate mystery that they have ever come across.

The series has been developed Tim Kring, the man behind shows like “Heroes” and “Touch,” and Gideon Raff, whose Israeli series, “Prisoner of War,” was adapted for U.S. television as “Homeland.”

“It promised a gigantic conspiracy thriller and I guess, in a way, there was something about Gideon’s uncanny ability to tap into the zeitgeist that I thought was curious, too,” said Isaacs, the star of the show, when asked what made him do the project, in an exclusive interview with Comic Book Resources.

Isaacs also praised Raff for having some sort of a sixth sense for coming up with stories that the world would turn to, which he believes “Dig” would deliver. Isaacs, admittedly, is a fan of Raff’s shows and has been waiting for a while to be able to work with him.

“Dig,” was initially set for a fall launch date this year. Due to problems with production, as the show was filming in Israel during the real-life tension that took place in the region, the cast and crew have to move back to the United States to continue filming. But after some setbacks, the show will definitely be launching in the spring.

Catch “Dig” when it premieres on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. on the USA Network. Check out the teasers below for a preview of what’s to come.
