“The Vampire Diaries” star cast has just got each other in trouble, looks like, these vampires are sucking on each other’s blood only! Amidst rescheduling and series’ lowest ratings since premiere, “The Vampire Diaries” will have a major setback. Many media outlet are reporting that Ian Somerhalder will be leaving CW series!
“The Vampire Diaries” season 7 hasn’t been the best in garnering viewers. While the series’ has hit on lowest number of viewers ever recorded in show’s history, Nina Dobrev’s exit has flipped the fate of the show.
According to International Business Times, Ian Somerhalder’s ‘diva behaviour’ is getting him into troubles and since Elena’s [Nina Dobrev] character is dead, his character Damon’s storyline is disturbed in a major way. Inquisitr also reports that many co-stars of “The Vampire Diaries” want Somerhalder to leave.
After month’s of appreciating Nina Dobrev’s character Elena Gilbert, Ian Somerhalder made a shocking confession over relief that she is gone, in his interview with Collider. Ian Somerhalder said, “We’re really able to really focus on what this show was always about, which is this relationship with these two boys… They’re like the main love story; that fraternal kinship is more powerful and in effect this year more than ever.”
Somerhalder made it clear that he wanted Nina Dobrev to leave so that the show can be back on tracks with Damon and Stefan, which is not doing too well for the show. “The Vampire Diaries” and spin-off series “The Originals,” both have been pushed to Fridays schedule coming January 2016 to make room for new shows.
It had never happened in the show’s history ever that CW expressed doubts over garnering viewers of “The Vampire Diaries” but a major drop in viewership has lead to rescheduling.
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 3 will make debut on new Friday slot timing from January 29, 2016 onwards.
“Flash” and “Arrow” TV Series’ spin-off “Legend of Tomorrow” and “The 100” Season 3 will be taking the schedules of Thursdays instead of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.”
