E! Online reported that two of the main characters will returnf for “TVD” Season 7. Unfortunately, one member of the trio is still unsure whether he/she wants to push through with the series.

The cast and crew haven’t started in filming the seventh season. But, the team is ready to plan things ahead just in case someone decides to depart the show. Ratings for the “The Vampire Diaries” have been consistent that The CW is really not keen to lose one of their hit TV series.

During the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), executive producer Julie Plec expressed her thoughts on the issue.

“I think the show will go as long as the actors want the show to go. You know, look, everybody’s under contract. I know that we’ve got plans for season six, we’ve got plans for season seven. I know that our bosses have plans for seasons eight, nine and 10. I said I want to be part of it as long as I know I could keep telling good stories and as long as the ensemble people that I work with want to be there and are committed and dedicated. So, so far so good, you know. We’ll see how long we can stay, doing it well. We’ll make sure that we don’t start sucking,” said Plec in the E! Online article.
