Fans are eagerly anticipating for “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7. Things are going to be different when The CW series returns because Nina Dobrev who plays Elena Gilbert, the female protagonist all throughout 6 seasons isn’t going to be there anymore. However, Julie Plec the executive producer of the series have some spoilers to share ensuring that there might be changes but they are awesome changes. Read on for more details/
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Plec dished some details about “TVD” Season 7. She even told the online media outlet that she takes inspiration from HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”
“At first I said well, ‘How could there be a show without Ned Stark?’ And then by season 2 I was like, ‘Ned who?’ And then after the Red Wedding I was like, ‘How could there be a show without the Starks?’ And then by Season 4 I was just as invested in other characters, so there’s a way there that if you can tell good stories, people can survive the loss of their favorite. And we may come to learn that’s not true for our show, we’ll see, but it feels good,” Plec said.
Plec is pertaining to the loss of Dobrev on “The Vampire Diaries.” Indeed, there is going to be a lot of changes. Plec revealed that Season 7 has paved way for other characters to be on the forefront.
“The Vampire Diaries” fans can expect Season 7 to focus more on Caroline (Candice Accola) and Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) relationship. Also, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) friendship will run even deeper as Damon relies on her more after his loss.
There have also been rumors that this is going to be the last season for Somerhalder. He is planning to leave “to pursue other things.” Her Instagram posts lately have ignited such rumours yet the actor hasn’t confirmed it yet.
