The Vampire Diaries” (TVD) fans are used to seeing each season putting more focus on a particular set of characters. However, Julie Plec the co-creator of The CW series made it clear that in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, things are definitely changing and they will put more focus on the whole ensemble. Read on for more details.

According to Deadline, series co-creator Plec said something about this during the TCA 2015.

“In terms of the show focusing on a single character, we are going to shift from that. We finally have an opportunity to show off the ensemble and make them feel more like the stars of their own show.” Plec said.

Not only that, because she also expressed her excitement about the new characters joining “TVD” this season particularly the heretics, which will make the series have an even more interesting twist. She also said that they are doing things differently this season.

“There’s a real curveball coming in our story about seven episodes in that none of us expected to do… it’s different than anything that we’ve done. Also, we’re playing with time in a way that we don’t usually do, which is adding to the fun of the narratives… some flashbacks, a few flash forwards… there’s some fun to be had,” Plec said.

Some fans are speculating as well whether Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) will find a new love in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 after losing Elena (Nina Dobrev). Unfortunately, Damon will not find any love this season because he’s still very much in love with Elena and still mourning her loss. The main focus on Damon’s life this season will be him reverting to his old self but at the same time, developing a deeper friendship with Bonnie.

Mark Perowitz, the network head of The CW, also talked about Dobrev during the TCA 2015 and he said that Dobrev is pretty much welcome to come back to the show.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 returns on Oct. 8, 2015, on The CW.
