“The Vampire Diaries” Season 5 Episode 18 “Resident Evil” will air on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Damon receives unsolicited relationship advice from Enzo. Previously on “The Vampire Diaries (“Rescue Me” Season 5 Episode 17 air date: March 27, 2014), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) attended Jeremy’s (Steven McQueen) parent-teacher conference. They were surprised to find out about Jeremy’s misbehaviours: cheating (twice in Math), cutting classes (for 11 times) and engaging in fights. The counselor pointed out that Jeremy needed a sound living environment. This lead to Elena and Damon talking about matters between them. Elena pointed out that they are not bad for each other, but they just do things that are bad for each other when they are together.
Caroline (Candice Accola) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) traveled to Atlanta to find the new doppelganger and to keep Stefan (Paul Wesley) from being harmed by Sloan (Caitlin McHugh) and the Travelers.
Liv (Penelope Mitchell) revealed information about the Travelers to Jeremy, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino). Jeremy found out that the Travelers could not control his mind. He also learned that the witches are coming for Elena.

According to the preview from Examiner.com, Damon receives an unsolicited relationship advice from Enzo. He admits to Damon that he is still searching for the woman he once loved decades ago before he was captured by the Augustines.
Jeremy, Matt and Tyler join Liv to stop the Travelers from taking over the Mystic Falls. This disappoints Bonnie when she learns that Jeremy is working with Liv.
Furthermore, Damon meets Markos (Raffi Barsoumian). He is worried about what Markos has to reveal to him.
What might have beens . . . Both Stefan and Elena have disturbing dreams about the life they might have had together.
