The short summary of the “V/H/S Viral” shows random footages of a VHS tape. The story begins with the investigation of a group of teens who want to become an internet sensation. The first footage shows a police chasing after a deranged ice cream truck. The ice cream truck has captured the attention of the greater Los Angeles area. The next clip shows dozens of obsessed teens gathered to the streets with their video cameras and camera phones who are very eager to get a shot of the next viral video. As the VHS tape continues to run, the random footages lead into something far more sinister occurring in the streets of LA other than a simple police chase. There is a resounding effect created on all those obsessed with capturing scandalous footage for no other purpose than to amuse or titillate. The twist of the film's story is the discovery of those who watched the VHS tape are the stars of the next video.
