Vin Diesel, one of the iconic personalities behind the world-renowned film franchise and soon to be in Fast and Furious 8, recently answered back to an allegation. What exactly happened and how did he respond to it? Read on for more details.
According to Yahoo!, he was mentioned in an article from Hollywood Reporter just last week. The article speculated that he was the reason of some problems while filming “Furious 7.” He was very meticulous up to the minutest detail. In addition, he had often called James Wan, their director, even late at night just to discuss regarding the script or tackle some issues.
The long and demanding production allegedly took the toll on Wan most especially to his health, thus he decided not to return for another chance to direct the next installment. This is in spite of the big offer for directing the film. It can be recalled that Paul Walker passed away while shooting for “Furious 7.” The actor is also a producer of this movie.
Diesel indirectly answered back to this allegation through posting in his Facebook account. He shared that Neal Moritz, his producing partner, wants him to be a director but since this franchise is so significant for them, they must be very careful with the details.
“To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet… let alone seen a script. Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision… they have been like family… I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga. I will announce the directors on my next post…” Diesel said.
In an article from The Verge, Diesel shared in a separate Facebook post that “Fast and the Furious” franchise will have its one final trilogy which was already approved by the Universal Studious.
What can fans expect from these last three films of “Fast and the Furious” saga? Will Vin Diesel do more daredevil stunts and scenes? Will Fast and Furious 8 surpass expectations?
