The Voice Season 6 Recap: Live Quarterfinals Featuring the Top 8 Performances  [WATCH VIDEOS]

“The Voice” Season 6 delivered the best Top 8 performances and some awesome surprises as well. It was aired on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. The results of the said show aired on the following Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Read on for MNG’s “The Voice” Season 6 recap of the “Live Quarterfinals” featuring the Top 8 performances.

First off, we had Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Willimas perform onstage. Williams and Stefani will be the new coaches for the next season (“The Voice” Season 7), replacing Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera. Stefani performed her solo hit “Hollaback Girl” during which Pharrell Williams came out to join her. Williams performed his latest single “Come Get It Bae.”

Another surprise to all “The Voice” fans is Adam Levine’s platinum blonde hair.

Now, let’s move on to the Top 8 performances!

1. Sisaundra Lewis of Team Blake performed “River Deep, Mountain High,” which was amazing by the way! It looks like we have the makings of a superstar right here. That was a great performance!

2. Josh Kaufman of Team Usher performed Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”

3. Kat Perkins of Team Adam performed Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” She went big this time as she was one of the bottom three last week.

4. Kristen Merlin of Team Shakira performed “I Drive Your Truck.” She has become the fan favourite and she remains to be Shakira’s hope.

5. Delvin Choice of Team Adam performed “I Believe I Can Fly.”

6. Audra McLaughlin of Team Blake performed Rebecca Lynn Howard’s “Forgive.” And it was just wonderful!

7. Jake Worthington of Team Blake performed Brooks & Dunn’s “Hillbilly Deluxe.”
