The Voice Season 7 Recap: October 6, 2014 Episode [WATCH VIDEOS]

The playful banter between “The Voice” Season 7 coaches was definitely worth watching! It’s usually Levine and Shelton who does it when they’re fighting for a contestant, but the blind auditions that took place Oct. 6, 2014 put the two new coaches, Stefani and Williams at test. Read on to learn more about the details.

In fact, Levine and Shelton were teasing their new coaches about always being “nice” to each other. When they had to fight for a contestant, Levine even said, “It’s like watching a candy cane sword fight over here!” The blind auditions that took place Monday night was the last and the show also had guest advisers Gavin Rossdale, Stevie Nicks, Alicia Keys and Little Big Town.

Who made it?

Matt McAndrew

He sang a rendition of “A Thousand Years” that made Shelton, Williams and Levine chairs turn around to face him. The contestant chose to go with Team Adam.

Brittany Butler

The YouTube star was the contestant that Williams and Stefani had to fight for. The contestant sang “The Girl From Ipanema” and went with Williams in the end.

Ryan Sill

Having a strong musical background, he sang One Republic’s “Secrets” and made Stefani and Shelton’s chairs turn around to face him. He chose to be in Gwen’s team.

Fernanda Bosch

This contestant tried her luck at a Macy Gray hit when she sang “I Try,” and luckily enough, she won the hearts of Stefani and Shelton, but went with Shelton in the end.

Beth Spangler

This contestant made all the chairs turn around when she sang “Best Thing I Never Had” by Beyonce. The four coaches pursued her to win her over, but she chose to be in Team Adam.


His determination to get out of his current office job made him sing “It’s a Beautiful Day” as a winning piece.  It was effective because it won the hearts of Williams, Shelton and Stefani, but he chose to be in Williams team.

Mayra Alvarez

An intriguing contestant who sang “Human Nature” by Michael Jackson and sparked interest in Shelton and Stefani. Stefani nabbed her.

Justin Johnes

This 15-year-old contestant tried his luck by singing “Let Her Go” by Passenger, and he got Shelton’s attention.
