A new set of talents is about to draw the attention of the coaches on “The Voice” season 9 week 2. Are you thrilled to know more? Just read on.
According to the spoilers from Entertainment, the flawless performance of the 22-year-old Jordan Smith from Harlan, Eastern Kentucky, on NBC’s “The Voice” season 9 has not only inspired the audience, but also the coaches.
The Harlan, KY native sang Sia’s modern classic “Chandelier” and vowed all the four coaches – Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, and Adam Levine. The four coaches were so much carried away by his amazing vocal range that they all wanted him in their respective teams.
However, in the end, Smith chose Levine to be his coach for the season 9. Three other participants – the radio host Regina Love, the 33-year-old Irish rocker Keith Semple, and the 30-year-old country singer James Dupre also chose Levine over Shelton.
Stefani’s team has the maximum contestants at the moment. Her team includes 19-year-old Noah Jackson, 23-year-old Hanna Ashbrook, 26-year-old Tim Atlas, 26-year-old Ellie Lawrence, Braiden Sunshine, and Kota Wade.
Shelton’s team includes five contestants – the 16-year-old Zach Seabaugh from Georgia, the 23-year-old Delaware native Nadja Nicole, the 32-year-old North Dakota singer Blind Joe, the 35-year-old Arkansas local Barrett Baber, and the Tennessee teenager Emily Anne Roberts.
Williams’ team includes four-chair turner Mark Hood, 17-year-old Ivonne Acero, Ashley Siahna Im from Washington, and Evan McKeel from Virginia.
The source further added that “an unexpected event” would happen in the show for the first time, as per the trailer.
Kentucky.com reported that Jordan Smith’s musician parents Kelley and Geri Smith as well as his musician aunt Amy Cottrell are his inspiration and influence. The Harlan, KY native started singing while he was young. He also plays drums at Church House of Mercy in Wallins Creek. Smith revealed that music is a “very important part” of his family.
“The Voice” season 9 week 2 would air on NBC on September 28 and September 29. Viewers could expect new talented and exciting performances that can stun the coaches.
