The warped coming-of-age movie that is centered on a man and his profanity-spouting stuffed toy is coming back to the big screen and speculations are strong that “Taken” action star Liam Neeson will be making an appearance in the “Ted” sequel, along with other big names in the industry. More information about this scoop below!
The film that managed to bore the line “F you thunder, you can suck my d” every time lightning strikes, “Ted” served to be Seth McFarelane’s first and finest movie project yet. Reaching an overall international gross of about $550 million, the movie got its share of critical receptions that are more positively inclined. When in Hollywood, it’s a common fact that when you go beyond the 200-million-dollar mark, a sequel is bound to take place. “Ted 2” will now be going into production, and apart from the latest “Transformers” actor Mark Wahlberg reprising his role alongside the foul-mouthed adorable plush toy, he will be joined by Amanda Seyfried, who is believed to play as the main character’s new onscreen girlfriend, Morgan Freeman to play as his lawyer and just recently adding up to the heavy Hollywood actors list is star of the currently showing movie “A Walk Among the Tombstones,” Liam Neeson.
Things just couldn’t get any more awesome for “Ted” creator and voice actor Seth McFarelane. According to Screen Rant, the helmsman who is known to create one of the highest grossing R-Rated comedies, revealed the news in his Twitter newsfeed with just 140 characters but with striking content: “Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2,” tweeted the comedic visionary.

Weighing in all the aspects, the actor is currently tied up to different projects as well. So how will he basically be playing his part in the “Ted” sequel? BBC News refreshed us over the fact that this will not be his first time working with MacFarelane and Seyfried as the trio has already done so in the underrated follow-up movie written and directed by MacFarelane, “A Million Ways to Die in the West.” In the film, Neeson played as the villain. This time around, will he be playing the same antagonistic role? Or will he just be making a cameo?
There are still no concrete updates as to what shall be the main plot of the film, but The Guardian shared that Mark Wahlberg stated how much Ted and his character will be crazier than ever. “Ted 2” is slated for a June 2015.
That concludes our scoop about Liam Neeson joining “Ted 2.” Keep tabs on Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates on upcoming films.
