The latest episode of “Wayward Pines” recently exposed the truth about the mysterious town of Idaho and what led to the creation of the rules. The midseason episode of the FOX series showed Ethan in a close encounter with the Abbies. The family turns out to be humans who evolved into something else.
Ben was also let in on the truth following an orientation in school, wherein he was told that he now belongs to the first generation of Wayward Pines. Theresa, on the other hand, took on the job of a realtor and met a man named Wayne. He told her several details of what happened after his accident.
Now that Ethan, Theresa and Ben know the truth about Wayward Pines and that they are living in the year 4028, what will the Burke family do next? In the episode titled, “Choices,” Ethan will try to decipher the best way to handle the truth and how it lines up with the things that Ben and Theresa know.
“It’s really about the nature of lies and truth, how much truth is too dangerous and what human beings can handle. The last four episodes are Ethan’s decision of what to do with the knowledge that he has,” Carter Matt cited.
Meanwhile, Showrunner Chad Hodge told TV Line that there will be an unexpected “twist and a turn” in the upcoming episodes of “Wayward Pines.” The showrunner also hinted that there is also the possibility of Season 2 being in the works. He promised that Season 1 will end without a cliffhanger should the series be no longer renewed for another season.
“Wayward Pines” Season 1 Episode 6 titled, “Choices” airs on June 25 on Fox.
