In the last episode of “Wayward Pines” titled, “One of Our Senior Realtors Has Chosen to Retire” Ethan (Matt Dillon) was suddenly hailed as the new Sheriff of Wayward Pines after he shot Sheriff Pope (Terrence Howard) to death and whose body was taken by a mysterious creature.

The town of Wayward Pines is mysterious and creepy at the same time. It makes a lot of fans wonder, “What lies ahead of the electrified fence?” “Who made the rules?” “Why was the Burke family placed inside the town?” and “Why does time seem to move slower in Wayward Pines?”

Two of the biggest secrets of “Wayward Pines” are bound to be revealed in the upcoming episode titled, “The Truth,” TV Line reported. Actress Carla Gugino, who plays Kate in the series, admitted that the upcoming episode is one of her favorites.

While some fans thought that the answers will be revealed in the season finale of “Wayward Pines,” most were surprised to hear that all these questions will be answered in the middle of the season.

“It allows the audience to be in on the information with us and to figure out what we’re going to do about it. To me, as an audience member, that’s an incredibly engaging idea,” Gugino shared.

The 43-year-old actress also hinted that “Wayward Pines” Season 1 will not end in a cliffhanger, but will rather give fans “a significant amount of resolution while setting the stage for a possible future” in case the series gets renewed for Season 2.
