Actress Miranda Otto, known for her work on “The Lord of the Rings” has just signed on to join the pilot episode of HBO’s “Westworld.” Read on to learn more about the details.
The Australian actress joins Thandie Newton as two of the latest addition to the ensemble cast of the upcoming TV series from HBO.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), she will play Virginia Pittman, the head of quality assurance department who is very strict, honest and ruthless when it comes to properties that are not working properly. With that being said, her character is one of the power players in “Westworld” and someone who is feared by her colleagues.
The cast of the show is rapidly growing and she joins big stars such as Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris and many more stars in Hollywood. The production of the show’s pilot will start this month of August.
Otto previously appeared on in “Rake,” “The Starter Wife” and “Cashmere Mafia” as well as in other movies such as “War of the Worlds.”
J.J Abrams is the executive producer of “Westworld” and he will be doing this together with Herry Weintraub and Bryan Burk as well as Jonathan Nolan.
