“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” has just released its teaser online and surprisingly, the Netflix miniseries did not aim to promote but instead presented the teaser as a grimy VHS record narrated by H. Jon Benjamin monotone. Read below for the full details.
It’s been 14 years and the gang is set to return this summer and yes, all of the original cast members are returning for the miniseries. It’s an eventful thing to happen to Netflix. A lot of fans who have loved these Cam Firewood members can’t wait to see it premiere.
According to Rolling Stone, the teaser also includes snippets of our beloved counselors and among the cast members that we’ve seen are Amy Poehler and Bradley Cooper as the drama nerds, Molly Shannon as the Arts and Crafts teacher who is too caught up with her “creativity” and Paul Rudd as the lifeguard who’s just “too cool to be one.” Aside from them, we also caught glimpses of Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Joe Lo Truglio and Michael Showalter.
The teaser takes us back to where it all started – no changes, well if you don’t consider the fact that the cast members are older now. Still, it stuck to the original and this is surely a great way to relive the fun and memories Camp Firewood brought to us more than a decade ago.
“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” will premiere on Netflix July 17, 2015.
