According to CNN, Netflix has just announced the reboot of “Wet Hot American Summer” into a miniseries. And not just that because if you’re wondering who’s going to play the hilarious camp counselors that we all love, you are in for a surprise. Read on to learn more about it.
It is finally set that the members from the original film are returning for the miniseries. The ensemble cast of “Wet Hot American Summer” will include Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter. Now you can breathe because this is really happening.
To refresh your memory, the movie debuted 14 years ago in 2001. David Wain, who directed the movie, will also be guiding the series. And to make things better, the show has brought in new additions to the show namely: Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Jason Schwartzman.
Hamm will play the role of a secret spy, Pine’s character will be someone who’s mysterious, and Wiig will play the role of a counselor.
This show is definitely an A-list miniseries. Netflix has done a good job to get everyone together. At first, with speculations flying around regarding the show getting a miniseries, we honestly thought that only some of the ensemble cast might return because come on, all of them are successful now and they probably have a lot of projects to do but what surprised me the most is all of them are on-board! This is definitely something that we shouldn’t miss!
“Wet Hot American Summer” will premiere this summer of 2015 and there is already a trailer out that you can watch below.
