Loki, the God of Mischief, is no stranger to being the most delightful yet vicious character around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Playing tricks on Thor and other characters in Asgard as well as Earth is one thing that he will do even when he is not busy trying to destroy something or chasing his dream of becoming the most powerful one in all realms.”
According to TV3 Xpose, Tom Hiddleston now has even more reasons to be happy about his portrayal of the God of Mischief for Empire Magazine has named Loki in its Top 20 Greatest movie characters list. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was placed on number 19 amongst others in the list.
Loki brings with him a unique version of the character. He is cunning, twisted but in his own unique way. When you look at Loki you don’t get a feeling that there’s an evil character standing in front of us, he’s more of a simple bad guy type with tremendous amount of power which if he uses correctly can certainly put him amongst other Marvel legends.
Tom said of his character that he is indeed very happy with the way Loki has shaped up and credits Marvel films for getting him the kind of work he is very proud of. He also mentioned that if he is given a choice to play any other character, he would always part with playing Loki because he is a larger than life, deep, complex and relentlessly funny character.
Loki was originally adopted by Odin and has ever since wanted to prove that he would make a worthy successor to the Throne of Asgard instead of Thor, his adoptive brother. Tom having played Loki in two “Thor” movies and “Avengers” will be reprising his role in the upcoming “Thor 3: Ragnarok”. What shenanigan does the God of Mischief pulls this time around will be seen when the movie releases in 2017.
