Peace finally prevailed among the various members in late Robin Williams’ family as his three children from a previous marriage and his widow reached to a settlement over the ongoing estate fight.
According to the attorneys who represented both sides, late Robin Williams’ widow and his three children from his previous marriage finally settled their legal fight that had been going over the estate owned by the late actor.
Jim Wagstaffe, who is the attorney for Susan Williams, said on Friday that Susan would continue living in the same home in San Francisco, Bay Area that she shared with her late husband. She would also be receiving living expenses for as long as she is alive.
Jim also reported that Susan would be getting the watch Robin often used, all the gifts received by the couple during their wedding and a bike that Robin had purchased on their honeymoon.
According to Fox News, the three children from Robin’s previous marriage, Cody, Zelda, and Zacchary were being represented by Meredith Bushnell in this fierce legal battle.
Bushnell said that his children were glad that the matter could finally be settled.
The settlement was reached, subject to the approval of the judge concludes a public and bitter dispute that followed the suicide of the beloved comedian in the year 2014.
According to Attorney Wagstaffe’s earlier statements and the documents of the court, some of Robin’s items that were subject to the dispute were the late actor’s tuxedo he got married in, his memorabilia, watches, and pictures taken on his 60th birthday.
In her papers filed in the month of December, Susan Williams said that all those contents that were there in the home she shared with Robin Williams at San Francisco, should not be included in the items the late actor had left to his children.
Susan also shared that some of the personal items of her husband were taken away by his children without her nod.
