Amy Poehler who is known for her role in “Parks and Recreation” is reportedly in talks to star opposite funny man Will Ferrell in “The House,” a comedy written by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien who are also credited for writing “Neighbors”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Ferrell along with Adam McKay, Nathan Kahane, Joe Drake and Brendan O’Brien will serve as producers with Andrew Cohen directing the movie. The story of the movie revolves around a married couple that end up spending their daughter’s college fund and later team up with their neighbors by opening a casino in order to win the money back. Amy Poehler will be playing Will’s wife and a mother who worries about losing her daughter once she goes to college.
Empire stated that New Line is backing the film for $40 million and will start shooting in August for a potential 2016 release. Andrew Cohen is also said to be making his directorial debut with this movie. “The House” will be shot in Los Angeles.
