Daniel Craig, the talented actor who played 007 Bond three times till date, has said that it hardly matters to him whether he will be replaced by a black actor because as per him the right person should get the chance to play the secret agent’s character. Read on for more details.
“The right person should do the job, and I don’t give a f*** what colour their skin is. It shouldn’t be an issue,” Craig said as revealed by The Sun newspaper.
On the question of a female playing the character of a British spy, Craig look uncertain and said, “(A female to play James Bond?) That’s another story. But why not? Jasmine Bond?”
As mentioned by the 47-year-old star earlier that he will quit as a Bond after the release of “Spectre,” now the star is in different mood meaning in the mood of trying for another Bond movie.
“It’s getting harder. But such is life. I’ll keep going as long as I’m physically able. I’m contracted for one more – but I’m not going to make predictions. These movies don’t get made very often. It’s just the fourth time for me, a spit in the ocean. If you don’t get excited about making a movie of this size with this cast, with Sam Mendes… then go home,” Craig said.
Well, the handsome actor made this statement of happy to do one more Bond movie just one month after when he declared that he is no more in a mood of doing another 007 movie.
It is not clear whether he will be seen as Bond in the next movie or not but Idris Elba of Luther fame’s name is coming to light in case Craig quits the franchise officially. So, if not Daniel Craig then Elba can be our next Bond.
