It seems that reunion is on cards for the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence with Francis Lawrence, the director of her “Hunger Games” franchise. It is said that both of them might be seen working together again on a new project titled, “Red Sparrow.” Read on.
It was reported earlier by Deadline that Francis is all prepared to work on the movie adaptation of Jason Matthew’s bestselling spy novel for Fox and he is planning to cast Katniss Everdeen aka Jennifer Lawrence in it to play the role of a Russian intelligence officer Dominika Egorva. The confirmation related to both of them are in talks, came from the side of EW.
Before the announcement of Francis’s name as the helmer for this project, David Fincher and Darren Aronofsky were in the news for directing the movie as it has been in progress for some time. Though, the confirmation is yet to come from the side of the actress but name of “American Hustle” writer Eric Warren Singer is coming to light for donning the scripting part for this movie.
“Red Sparrow” is the story of Dominika, who was trained as a seductress or ‘sparrow’ in service. She was given a mission and assigned to American intelligence officer who tries to reveal the secrets of the Russian state. It leads to a life-and-death mission circling around Moscow and Washington.
The Best Actress Academy Award winner, who is known for her charity works, is currently waiting for the release of her upcoming fourth and last movie in the Hunger Games franchise titled, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.” After that she has Dec. 25, 2015 as the release date for “Joy” and on May 27, 2016, her “X-Men: Apocalypse” is releasing.
She is also very busy with her upcoming three projects namely, war photographer biopic “It’s What I Do,” sci-fi film “Passengers” with Chris Pratt, and “The Rosie Project” by Richard Linklater. Additionally, it was revealed that together with Amy Schumer, Jennifer is writing a comedy movie in which both of them will play sisters.
