Will “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” be able to break the top revenue record of “Avatar?” The leading box office analyst says that recently released “Star Wars 7” has added another record of three days gross with an amount of $715,010 at Pacific’s Arclight Hollywood in the U.S. The movie 2009-released movie “Avatar” is still acquiring first position in worldwide grosser at $2,787,965,087.
On the worldwide grosser list, “Star Wars: The force Awaken” acquires 102nd position and the total domestic grosses in four days are $288.1 million, whereas the international take for six days is $322.7 million.
The list of Disney’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” brought gross worldwide in the last couple of days:
- $610.8 million on Monday,
- $370,597 on Thursday night and Friday,
- $180,904 on Saturday and
- $163,510 on Sunday
“Given the incredible current box office trajectory and the overwhelmingly positive response to the film, a expected phenomenal second weekend and with China yet to come in January, if any film has a chance to break into the $2 billion club and have the potential to become the highest grossing film of all-time globally, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is that film,” Paul said in a conversation with Variety.
Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst also said that the box office collection of seventh installments of the “Star Wars” franchise has the potential to surpass the record of James Cameron’s “Avatar.”
George Lucas’ story has already set a mixed bag record, particularly $248 million at domestic launch, and $529 million at global launch.

Abrams-directed “Star Wars: The Force Awakens’” $40.1 million domestic record on Monday decreased the mark set of “Spider-Man 2” ($208.8 million domestic opening, $524.9 million global opening). “Jurassic World” is carrying the third-highest world record grosser of $1.67 billion amount, whereas “Avatar” and “Titanic” are reportedly having worldwide grosser at $2.19 billion.
