The 16th Women's Image Network (WIN) Awards, which was founded in 1993 by Phyllis Stuart, continues to honor outstanding individuals in politics, business, music and media who promote gender parity through their creativity and leadership. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, Dec.14, 2014 in Southern California.  The Women's Image Network (WIN) is a charity that teams up with showbiz business to recognize deserving media and individuals who uphold gender equality. In addition to recognizing actresses, directors, writers, producers and films and television shows, WIN Awards credit those who share its mission to “Foster a World Where Everyone WINs”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the annual awarding ceremony "recognize the creation of dimensional female media images and equality between the genders." Joan Rivers was given a posthumous nomination for 'Best Actress in a Comedy Series. It was for her performance in the “Fashion Police" episode entitled "September Issue."  Melissa Rivers co-nominated with Lisa Bacon for producing the same episode. Click here to learn more about the award show.
