They are the defenders of their respective universe. Representing superhuman power, strength, intelligence, nobility and fearlessness, they have conquered every adversary that has set eyes on Earth. “Justice League” and the “Avengers” are indeed two of the most powerful and oldest superhero teams that have stopped at nothing to defend our planet. Often there has been a comparison between them, this ranges from who is better or who has more credibility as a superhero team. We will break down the team and in the process hope to figure out who is better. Read on for more details.
According to Variant Comics, there has been a different variety of teams within “Justice League” The seven founding members of the Justice League namely Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter have stayed the same in most cases, however later on the Martian was replaced by Cyborg as one of the founding members.
The analysis started with the powers described in brief. “Superman,” also known as the Man of Steel with capabilities like laser eyes, frost breathe, superhuman strength and flight skills make him the most powerful superhero in the universe.
“Batman” has superior intelligence and is trained in almost all fighting forms.
“Wonder Woman” is more like Superman’s female version and has a lasso of truth that can make anyone speak the truth.
“Green Lantern” has the power ring. It is considered to be the most powerful weapon in the universe though it only is effective because of the bearer’s imagination.
“Flash” has super speed making him the fastest while, on the other hand, “Aquaman” is the King of the Ocean.
Finally, “Cyborg” is half human, half robot who can basically hack into any system in the world and retrieve information rendering him quite effective and dangerous.
On the “Avengers” side, we have Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man and The Wasp. Much like “Justice League,” even the “Avengers” had their own versions that have changed from time to time.
Breaking down the “Avengers,” we have “Captain America” who was the first super soldier, whose abilities exceed normal human levels. He’s trained in all forms of martial arts and is the leader of the team.
“Iron Man” falls on the lines of Bruce Wayne. He’s a billionaire and has genius level intellect. Using that he has built himself a suit of armor for every occasion that he uses.
“Thor” is basically a God who controls the power of Thunder, so does not really need any explanation on his powers.
“Ant-Man” is another genius who can shrink to an Ant’s size but the increase in strength. “Wasp” is his ladylove and can shoot power beams from her hands when she shrinks.
Ultimately there is “Hulk,” who is undoubtedly the muscle of the team. He is raging monster who only gets stronger with anger.
Noticing from the analysis, each team has heroes who have matching powers and can probably end up negating each other’s power. For a Hulk there’s Superman, for Iron Man there’s a Batman, for Thor there’s Wonder Woman and Flash, for Captain America there’s Green Lantern and for Ant-Man & Wasp, there is Aquaman and Cyborg. Basically it’s only for good that both the teams end up as equals. It was since after one of its kind encounter when both the teams did clash, they managed to come together and fight for the same cause, which was saving the universe.
