‘Wolf Creek 2’ Tops Australian Box Office Records [WATCH VIDEO]

“Wolf Creek 2” which is directed by Greg McLean, topped the Australian Box Office records at $1.7 million. It is the sequel to “Wolf Creek” (2005) and it still stars John Jarratt as serial killer Mick Taylor. Aside from Jarratt, it also features Ryan Corr (Paul Hammersmith ), Shannon Ashlyn (Katarina Schmidt ), Phillipe Klaus (Rutger Enqvist ), Shane Connor (Senior Sergeant Gary Bulmer Jnr) and Chloé Boreham (Lucille).

According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) “Wolf Creek 2” was released in Australia on Feb. 20, 2014. It was previously shown at the Venice Film Festival on Aug. 30, 2013. “Wolf Creek 2” is written by Greg Mclean and Aaron Sterns. It is a horror/thriller about a crazy serial-killing pig-shooter named Mick Taylor who preys on tourists in the Outback.

News.com.au reported that “Wolf Creek 2” beat out the film “Lone Survivor” starring Eric Bana and Mark Wahlberg, which ended up being the second highest grossing film ($1.5 million) in Australia as of Feb. 25, 2014.

Meanwhile, “The Wolf of Wall Street” is at the third spot with $1.06 million. According to urbancinefile.com.au, it has earned a total of $19,857,330 since it was first released on Jan. 23, 2014 in Australia.
