Originally ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ was set to hit theaters in late 2013 but this year found Paramount making the decision to push the film back to next year instead. Martin Scorsese’s film though may very well make its 2013 release date.
According to a report by Showbiz 411, the director of the film is determined to get the film edited in time for the Oscar deadline, that is by November 25, 2013. That essentially leaves the studio with just a month to work around the clock and release the movie in time for Christmas day; as well as making it eligible for this year’s Oscars.
The Wolf of Wall Streets stars Leonardo DiCaprio as real-life trader Jordan Belfont, who lifted the lid on the corruption, sex and drug abuse prevalent on Wall Street in the ’80s. Alongside him are co-stars Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey and Jon Favreau. The film is set to arrive in UK cinemas on January 17, 2014.
