Girl group and real life sisters, 4th Impact has been doing really well in TV show, the “X Factor UK” but a recent situation concerning one of the girls, Celina, caused coach Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to panic a bit. Read on to know more!
The Daily Mirror reports that Fernandez-Versini disclosed how the foursome had the choice of not going onstage and using rehearsal tapes instead but the brave girls fought on to deliver an astonishing routine.
“X Factor” heads had to call an ambulance for a mandatory check on Celina Cercado after the 4th Impact member already collapsed before singing. The group went on to present but subsequently, the energetic presentation of Beyonce’s “Work It Out” had Celina feeling dizzy, making producers rush to give her a chair onstage.
Being the professional that she is, Celina stayed onstage to listen to what the judges had to say about their act. Simon Cowell was so considerate and said he would speed up with his comments so Celina can receive the help she needs. “Under the circumstances that was the most incredible performance we have ever seen. I was there as this was all happening backstage so I know what you’ve been through. I hope you’re OK, sweetheart.” Cowell said.
“Selena you really were a hero tonight, well done.” Rita Ora added.
The girls’ coach, Fernadez-Versini commended her group and said, “I’m so proud of all of you for getting up in those circumstances. You had the chance to use the rehearsal tapes but you said no. We [singers] suffer things like this.”
According to a spokesperson for “X Factor UK”, “Celina fainted earlier before her performance. An ambulance was called and she was checked by a medic who said she was OK to perform.”
Here is Fernadez-Versini, talking about how her girls decided to soldier on and perform together before introducing them:
Two options were given to the girls; one is to have their rehearsal tape played instead or perform as a three. The group decided to do their number together. “After the performance Celina was checked by a medic again as a precaution.”, the spokesperson added.
Fernadez-Versini took to Twitter and shared that she was indeed worried about the situation but proud of the outcome, after the whole ordeal was over:
What a day/night! @4thImpactMusic did me proud tonight. 5 minutes before they took to the stage I was told they wouldn't be performing 😓🙌🏼🙏🏼
