Making the decision for Judges’ Houses performance “live” in “The X Factor UK” 2015 might not happen next time.
On Sunday, “The X Factor” UK 2015 decisions for the Judges’ Houses performances was made live and not all judges were comfortable about it.
Simon Cowell, 56, was one of them. When asked if the “live” recording for the judges’ decisions would happen next time, he confessed, “Probably not. It was hell.”
Cowell also revealed he understood for the first what it felt to be a contestant after hearing the “boos” and the disappointments of the audience about their decisions.
Although recording the judges’ decisions “live” in “The X Factor UK” 2015 had some disadvantages, Simon Cowell also saw some advantages about it too, particularly on decision-making.
“Normally I make it before I see it back and I always regret my decision, so this is easier in a way,” Cowell said via RadioTimes.
At the end of the show, Cowell chose Bupsi Brown, Anton Stephens, and Max Stone in the Overs Category for the Live Shows. But, many were disappointed as to why he did not choose fan-favorite Jennifer Phillips.
Speaking about his last-minute decision, Cowell confessed (via TellyMix), “I just went partly on my gut, the audience reaction.”
Cowell admitted it was not easy on his part. But he believed Bupsi Brown, Anton Stephens, and Max Stone could “fit it in with the competition.”
Cowell said it was tough in making that kind of decision, especially seeing Phillips and the others’ talents. However, he maintained that his decision was final and will stick with it.
Although it might seem to show that Jennifer Phillips does not have a chance anymore, there might be a possibility of her being brought back in the Wild Card series in “The X Factor UK” 2015.
In a report by Mirror.co.uk, Cowell was reportedly hinting on bringing the Wild Card series, saying he would do it right away, perhaps thinking about Phillips.
However, Simon Cowell said it’s not his final decision to make.
