In an interview with Yahoo, X-men writer Simon Kinberg sits down to answer some questions from the fans, hinting along the way what fans might expect in the upcoming “Days of Future Past” sequel, “X-men: Apocalypse”, such as mutants Cable, Psylocke and Scarlet Witch joining the action of the upcoming pic.
The “X-Men” writer and producer asked by Yahoo UK for an extended question and answer session with fans. The writer explains some of his insights on the consequences of time paradoxes that occurred in “Days of Future Past.”
“We changed the timeline for everything that came after ‘DOFP’ – so ‘X-Men 1’, 2 and 3, even ‘The Wolverine’. So Jean [Grey] was not killed in ‘Last Stand’, nor was Scott, and a whole lot of other things rippled” said Kinberg.
He then reveals events that happened after the movie such as Wolverine still getting his adamantium laced bones and claws, Magneto and Charles’ friendship, Mystique giving birth to Night Crawler, Quicksilver’s parentage, recasting of old gen casts including Storm, Jean, some explanations why Rogue was cut in the pic, why Kitty Pryde or Bishop won’t appear on the next pic as well as spilling the beans on the new mutants that might appear in the pic such as the telepathic and telekinetic Psylocke, Quicksilver’s twin sister Scarlet Witch and Cyclops’ time traveling son Cable.
“The ‘Apocalypse’ story is a bigger film in scope or scale and a more powerful villain than we have ever seen in these films before – The thrust of ‘Apocalypse’ is really to complete the trilogy we began with ‘First Class’ – to complete the stories of young Raven, young Hank, younger Charles and Erik. And complete this trilogy of four people who began the films sort of disparate and in different worlds”

Moreover, “Days of the Future Past” home release will include extra footage featuring a storyline of Anna Paquin’s character Rogue in a more than 10-minute video. The subplot will be called the “Rogue Cut”, which will include other characters, will feature the mutant as she takes part in the action that will change the bleak future.
“X-men: Days of Future Past” is now available digitally and is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 14.
