A lot of people have confirmed this and it includes Channing Tatum himself that he won’t be appearing as Gambit in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.” He gave a stern no to the question that asked whether or not fans would see him as a part of the movie. His character got his own solo film that will release sometime around next year and that should be enough for fans who are equally excited about the movie. But with him appearing with other X-Men and Marvel characters in an event have raised some speculations. Read on for more details.
According to Cinema Blend, Stan Lee recently proved that there probably wouldn’t be another amazing celebrity like him when he took one of the best selfies in recent times. The selfie had the entire cast of “X-Men: Apocalypse,” “Deadpool,” “Fantastic Four,” with Hugh Jackman who will be playing Wolverine for one last time.
Now, Jackman was present there just because he wanted to be there and lend support to his “X-Men: Days of Future Past” co-stars and friends. But, Channing Tatum suddenly appearing out of nowhere to be in the selfie was the biggest mystery of all. The media outlet has an interesting theory for the same.
The outlet has speculated that Tatum flying down to Comic Con just to take one selfie would not make sense. But there are possibilities that he could have flown down from some other location to San Diego. The location maybe could be a place somewhere in Canada.
Bryan Singer directed “X-Men: Apocalypse” has been shooting in Canada for quite some time now. Singer was to fly directly to San Diego from Canada to promote “X-Men: Days of Future Past- Rogue Cut” while the cast that was also flying with him was to be a surprise. The cast members of the movie including Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Oscar Isaac, Olivia Munn amongst others surprised everyone with their presence when they joined Singer on stage. Since the cast has also been shooting for the movie in Canada, chances are even they flew in from the same location.
What proved to be a bigger surprise when Tatum joined the cast and others moments before the selfie was taken. Flying in just to take a random selfie seems a bit odd but what if he actually flew in with the cast from Canada?
There are chances that he must have shot some minor scenes in the upcoming movie since the source that revealed Tatum’s solo “Gambit” movie had also mentioned that the character could have a little presence in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” It was before moving on to focus on his own story. Maybe Gambit will be seen in the post credits scene or he could have a little scene. Just like Jackman had in “X-Men: First Class” when he said something rude to Xavier and Magneto. It is a good theory indeed, but it can only be confirmed when something official is released.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
