‘X-Men: Apocalypse:’ Will Anna Paquin Return as Rogue With New Powers?

She wasn’t a part of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and it created quite a stir, however, there are speculations and some conditions by Anna Paquin herself hint that like Wolverine even she could be seen in the movie. Read On!

According to Yibada, Fox has maintained a continuity problem within their “X-Men” universe and because of that it was hard for us to decipher what really happened with Rogue. But that gets us thinking if Wolverine can be re-injected into the “X-Men: Universe” then why not Rogue.

Honestly, it depends on to what extent will Anna’s role be in the movie, but after all that has happened with her character, “X-Men: Apocalypse” could accommodate her somewhere. Besides, having her in the movie would be delightful for some of her fans and what is even more interesting is that she has some ideas of her own.

During a conversation with one of the fans when Anna was asked if she would be reprising her role of Rogue again or not, Anna mentioned that if she gets to fly in the movie she would love to reprise her role. On being asked that if she wants to play some other character, Anna justified that in the comic books Rogue gets the ability to fly because of her powers of absorbing other mutants power.

Since she herself didn’t get to do that during her stint as Rogue, she would love to see that happen. Back in the comics Rogue absorbed Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel’s powers and gained all of her powers, which she possessed for some time.

Cinema Blend added that if the “X-Men” universe were to show Rogue with these extra abilities, they would have to find another way because Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel happens to be Marvel’s property. If Fox were to still pursue this option there would be unnecessary negotiations involved in doing so. It remains to be seen if the power absorbing and awkward mutant would be a part of the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” or not. The movie will release next year on May 27th.
