Sometimes, actors and actresses, even though they are done with filming for a particular role or character that they have put in a lot of work in, from training to figuring out the character itself, have a tendency to still hold on to those particular characters for just a little bit more, especially if one has gotten the chance to portray an iconic character. This is the case of actress Olivia Munn, who, apparently, is still channeling her “X-Men: Apocalypse” character, Psylocke, even though filming wrapped up around a month ago. Read on to learn more about how Olivia Munn is still channeling Psylocke.
Just a few days ago, according to Entertainment Weekly, and Munn’s Instagram account, the “X-Men: Apocalypse” actress showed the entire world that she has not let go of her mutant character, Betsy Braddock, otherwise known as Psylocke, yet. It was especially as she had put a lot of work and effort into portraying the character, which she recently displayed in a video on her Instagram account.
In the video, Munn showcased her sword swinging and martial arts skills, as she had to learn all of this in preparation for her character, the mutant code named Psylocke, who, aside from being telekinetic, is a very experienced sword fighter and martial artist.
However, the film itself has already finished filming everything they needed to create the next “X-Men” film, which according to Entertainment Weekly, was capped off with a wrap party with the cast and crew of the film sometime late last month.
In the film, Munn’s Psylocke is one of the “Horsemen” of the main antagonist of the movie, Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), whose presence was teased in the previous “X-Men” film, “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
Munn stars alongside returning cast members Nicholas Hoult (Beast), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Lucas Till (Havok), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) and Evan Peters (Quicksilver); and newcomers Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Tyler Sheridan (Cyclops), Ben Hardy (Angel) and Lana Condor (Jubilee).
