“X-Men” is probably one of the biggest superhero family comic world has seen. It has produced some of the biggest and powerful mutants from its camp. Mutants like Professor Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit amongst others have been a part of it. Wolverine and now even Gambit got their own solo movies to star in. There was, however, one more veteran mutant who could have scored a chance at having her story explored more and that was Storm. She was a weather bending mutant who was a part of the “X-Men” movies and was also one of Professor Xavier’s oldest students. Halle Berry who played the role of Storm had something to say about the character.
Cinema Blend reported that Berry, who first portrayed the role of Storm in “X-Men” that released in 2000 has expressed interest and enthusiasm to play the mutant again. She was at the Comic Con 2015 for her series “Extant” when she mentioned about her mutant role. Apart from urging fans about wanting to see a Storm spin-off movie, she also added that she absolutely loves the character & what X-Men series stands for. After having portrayed the character in “X-Men,” “X2: X-Men United,” and “X-Men: The Last Stand,” she was seen in a minor scene in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” after almost eight years. Since the movie was focused more on Wolverine going in the past and getting involved with younger versions of Xavier and Magneto, Storm did not have much to do.
There are also rumors that Belly could have a small cameo in “X-Men: Apocalypse” as the older version of Storm. The movie being the final installment in the trilogy that started with “X-Men: First Class” will show Alexandra Shipp as the teenage Storm since the movie will be based in the 80’s (in continuation of X-Men: Days of Future Past that took place in the 70’s). However nothing has been confirmed yet. Only time will tell if 20th Century Fox will let fans have a solo Storm movie or not.
