“Young & Hungry” Season 1 Episode 3 “Young & Lesbian” aired on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on ABC Family. Gabi Diamond got a date, not with Josh, but with another woman! Read on to learn more about Movie News Guide’s (MNG) recap of the latest episode of ABC Family’s “Young & Hungry.”

“Young & Hungry” Season 1 Episode 3 “Young & Lesbian” was directed by Arlene Sanford and written by Jenny Lee. The episode began with Gabi Diamond (Emily Osment) officially working as Josh Kaminski’s (Jonathan Sadowski) personal chef in “Young & Ringless.” The episode also featured the loss of Caroline’s (Mallory Jensen) ring. It was later found out that it was Elliot (Rex Lee) who got the ring stuck on his finger.

In “Young & Lesbian,” Gabi fixed an hors d’oeuvre kind of dinner for Josh and Elliot. It was said that it was for Josh’s important guest, magazine editor Logan Jessica Rawlings (Ashley Tisdale). Josh and Elliot were eager to impress Logan so she could include Josh in her magazine’s “30 Under 30” most influencial list.
At first, Elliot thought that Logan wanted a date with Josh, but the lady already got her eyes on Gabi. Elliot spun her story and told Gabi that Logan needed a “woman’s perspective” on Josh’s works and achievements. Moreover, Elliot told her that this could be Josh’s only chance because he’s already 29 years old.

At the bar, Gabi tried to talk about Josh, but Logan shot her down immediately. Gabi struggled to fend off Logan’s advances on her. When one of her tricks worked, Gabi confronted Elliot about his devious plans on the phone. Gabi was again convinced by Elliot that this was for Josh’s “future” on the influential list.

Gabi finally told Logan that she was straight and not a lesbian. It was after Logan tried to kiss her. Logan became embarassed about going on to her, as suggested by her therapist. Logan previously had an unfortunate breakup with her lover. Logan’s place was full of her ex’s things including her cat. Gabi told Logan that her ex-lover might want to return again in Logan’s life.

Later, Gabi and Logan plotted a plan on making her lover jealous. They went on a “fake date” at Judy Green’s (Jessica Lowndes) famous restaurant. It was revealed that Judy Green was Logan’s ex-lover. They got Judy’s attention after few attempts.

Josh, on the other hand, learned about Gabi’s secret date with Logan. Elliot told him that it was his plan in order for Josh to have a place in Logan’s list. He immediately went to the restaurant and confronted them. Josh didn’t know that they were there to make Judy Green jealous, so he blurted out that Gabi didn’t need to became a “lesbian” to help him.

Gabi tried to save the day by kissing Logan on the lips. The plan goes well because Judy got furious until Logan mysteriously choked on a mint. Judy went to help Logan immediately. They ended kissing each other and back to their relationship.

The episode ended with Judy giving a signed cookbook with a threat note inside it. Josh revealed to Gabi that the “near-death” choking-on-a-mint incident was his plan. Despite his refusal in being part of the list, he became part of it in the end.

That’s it for the “Young & Hungry” Season 1 Episode 2 “Young & Lesbian” recap. It aired on July 9, 2014. Check out MNG regularly for the latest news about “Young and Hungry,” including recaps and spoilers.
