Zac Efron is becoming a fitspiration to more men out there, as Adam DeVine admits that he has started getting himself in shape in order to look good next to the “Dirty Grandpa” star. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Zac Efron and Adam DeVine will be starring in the new movie, “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.” Before shooting begins in May, Adam DeVine revealed to E! News that he is starting to get his booty working and his personal trainer is none other than the person behind Chris Pratt’s hot body transformation.
“I just got the personal trainer who trainer who trained Chris Pratt to go from fat guy to look at him today,” remarked DeVine.
The “Pitch Perfect 2” star also admitted to the outlet that he does not want to be identified as the “hot guy” next to Zac Efron.
“That’s not something I want. It’s just a total vanity thing,” DeVine said.
He also admitted that he’s eating as much tacos as he can before his extensive training begins.
So how did Zac Efron achieve that hot body?
Speaking to Men’s Health, Efron revealed that he achieved his body with the help of Logan Hood, a former Navy SEAL.
According to Hood, Efron gained 18.5 pounds when he was filming for “The Lucky One,” so he had to undergo rigorous training and was placed on a diet with 3,500 calories a day for four months.
Hood said that Efron begins his day with a high protein shake or meal followed by a workout on a full stomach. He said that people should do this with precaution, though, as “it’s not practical to do for a long period of time.”
At the end of their training, Efron revealed that he barely recognized himself.
“I’ve always wondered if I had the willpower to actually do it. And I’ll always have pride around the sense that I can,” Efron said.
“Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” revolves around the story of two brothers (played by Efron and DeVine) whose online ad to find wedding dates goes viral.
